docHarbor Scan-to-Web

Anywhere in the world access to paper documents – you don't need to be in the office!

TechTrek have invested in capture centres with high volume scanning capability that feed docHarbor with electronic images that have been converted to paper.

Once scanned, we typically store the paper for one month and then have it securely destroyed or securely stored by our business partner Wincanton Records Management (www.wincantonrm.co.uk)

The docHarbor Scan-to-Web service provides rapid capture, management, delivery and preservation to billions of documents over either the Internet or via private corporate networks for their customers, partners, and employees. Any authorized user can view images with a standard desktop web browser, appropriate standard viewing software (Adobe PDF viewer or TIFF viewer) and a valid username and password.

The Image Viewer provides a page-at-a-time display and management of scanned documents in the native browser regardless of whether the scanned document started its lifecycle as a paper or film-based document. It supports broad page navigation capabilities, thumbnail views, page rotation and zoom-in features, plus the ability to download or print a range of pages using standard, familiar PDF techniques.

The Re-indexing Tool allows privileged end users in a distributed environment or remote location to change, add, or delete metadata values associated with a given document such as document number or customer name. All re-indexer transactions are audited, index values can be verified against specific business rules, and can be set up for manager approval, if required.
