A Complete Ready to Go Document Management Solution
A fully functional web based document management solution utilising our best in class DMS Server. The server comes with fully documented API's and ASP.net source code in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 for the web application and web services component. Accessed primarily using a web browser or the Microsoft Office suite, it provides flexible out-of-the-box document management functionality including hierarchal storage, access rights, version control and audit trails.

You are free to configure, extend or trim the functionality of the web application and components, integrate and provide services to your own applications in any way that you choose. There are no visible copyright statements leaving you free to add your own copyright statements.


A web services component make it simple to integrate the product as a web part into a portal, link to scanners and Windows based applications.

Microsoft Office 2003 & 2007 Integration

Key functionality is available on the user's desktop within the standard Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). Users can browse for, retrieve, check-out and check-in documents at the click of a button without needing to open their web browser.

Sharing Metadata

Share a document or file metadata with other documents or files to create a continuous thread between documents example, sales order, sales confirmation, purchase orders, delivery note, invoices, etc.

Document Production using Templates

Produce Word or Excel Documents by merging documents Meta Data with a Microsoft Office™ template stored in the system. The same functionality can be used to merge metadata into an Email.

Document Routing

Route documents to another user or groups in box for information purposes or processing such as proof reading, approval, authorisation etc.

Document Viewer

View any document in the native application in which it was produced or view it as PDF. The standard document viewer can be replaced by alternative viewers if required.

Document Emailer

Email and Zip if required documents and or folders from within the DMS.

Permissions-based Access

Access to every item in the DMS is controlled by a sophisticated Access Control List (ACL) defining the users and groups that can see, edit and administrate them. Permissions can be set for individual items or controlled centrally using an ACL template.

Rich Audit Trail

Every action performed within the application is logged with time and date stamps, notes and user details. Audit information is stored in a SQL table that is easily queried or exported to your analysis tool of choice

Web-based User Interface

A .Net web application with all user and administration functionality accessible via an Internet Explorer web browser.

File Watcher

File Watcher technology provides folders that polled for new additions that. Scanned items sent to a File Watcher folder can be manually routed to users or automatically routed according to metadata added to document, file or scanned image.

Metadata Indexing

Define metadata capture rules using the web-based administration functionality. Associate custom metadata - gathered from user input or external systems -with your documents to allow for easy searching and retrieval.

Document Auto-filing

Ensure filing structures are maintained by storing documents according to your business rules. Control document storage based on predefined structures, metadata and user permissions.

Document Notification

Notify other users that a document has been created or a change has been made according to a set of business rules.

Intelligent Indexing

The dynamic presentation of file and look up structures according to the user profile or status of a documents metadata.

Document Briefcase

Check out and check in briefcase folder.

Powerful Search

Find the correct document or documents easily using a powerful search that encapsulates document Titles, document content and associated metadata. Common searches can be saved for reuse later. Search results can be saved and stored as document in the system.

Full Version Control

A serialised check-out / check-in process guarantees data integrity with every check-in adding a new document version to the system. Versions can be deleted, locked and rolled back as required.

Microsoft Active Directory Integration

Manage users and groups centrally using your existing Microsoft Active Directory® Services. For companies without Active Directory®, the creation and administration of DMS-specific users and groups is also supported.
